This program is one of the best ways to fully take advantage of your trip by exploring both the main ruin site and the famous mountain of Wayna Picchu. This 2 day tour allows you to explore every part of the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu at your leisure without losing any time in Aguas Calientes. Our experienced guides take you to the less-traveled sites around Aguas Calientes (the nearest town to Machu Picchu) and Machu Picchu, the Wonder of the World. We take care of all the details, including your accommodations, train tickets and transfers.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

  • 08:30 Picked up from your hotel (approximately).
  • 08:45 Departure from Cusco City.
  • 10:45 Arrive to Ollantaytambo train station.
  • 11:15 Departure from the train station of Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu town.
  • 12:45 Arrive to Machu Picchu train station.
  • 12:50 Picked up from the train station by our local staff.
  • 13:15 Check in.
  • 14:15 Free time to choose any optional activity or rest a bit.

  • 18:00 Return to Machupicchu Town.

          Recomendations

          **Please note that the times may vary. The time that you will be picked up from your hotel is dependent on the number of people traveling that day, and train schedules are always subject to change as they are determined by Peru Rail/Inca Rail and are based on the availability of spaces. The exact times of your trains will be given to you once you reserve the service. (There is a student discount ONLY for people with a valid student card or ISIC) **Student pricing is only available upon presentation of an ISIC (International Student Identity Card) at the moment of the reservation; also, you must show your ISIC (original) at the entrance gate to Machu Picchu. *** Please note that the Wayna Picchu tickets depend on the availability of spaces, only 200 spaces at 7.00 am and another 200 spaces at 10.00 am per day. If you are planning to climb Wayna Picchu you need to book 1 month in advance in low season (January to April) and 3 months in advance in high season (May to December). When you are booking, please let us know the date of your visit to Machu Picchu and we can check the availability.
